Primary Responsibility
A software engineer plays a key role in developing and maintaining the iEmployee suite of software products. Reporting to the development manager, the software engineer's responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain web applications and web services in MS Visual Studio 2003, 2005, & 2008
- Develop and maintain procedures using SQL Server Management Studio & Profiler
- Develop and maintain applications for clock hardware in C/C++ using cygwin
- Maintain VB6.0 COM components and ASP web pages
- Effectively participate on an Agile/SCRUM development team
- Effectively use source control tool SubVersion
Requirements
The candidate will need to possess 2+ years experience in SaaS web development and strong working knowledge of VB.NET & ASP.NET in the 1.x, 2.0, and 3.5 frameworks, SQL Server 2005, CSS, javascript, XHTML, and XML. Additionally, knowledge of SubVersion, Agile/SCRUM, Rally Development, C/C++, cygwin, jscript, MS Visual Interdev 6.0 is desirable. The candidate needs to be able to communicate technical information effectively to the engineering team and to client services. The ability to debug complicated systems quickly and competently is a must.
