Local Matters is a new media publishing and search marketing firm dedicated to creating, planning and managing search engine marketing initiatives. Search engine marketing, a form of Internet marketing, seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages. With over 200 employees located in Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Utah, and London, Local Matters helps clients grow their businesses exclusively through local search marketing.

The Challenge

Growing their business through acquisition, Local Matters expanded from a 60 person company in one office to an organization with four offices and over 200 employees. Prior to the acquisitions, a single person was responsible for all employee payroll, time, and PTO. The rapid expansion forced Local Matters to reevaluate their time capture processes from the ground up. It became evident that doing business as usual with paper time cards was unsustainable and cost prohibitive.
